I OSCO COUNTY – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced it will invest $498,000 to resurface 4 miles of US-23 in two segments: from south of Ruel Road to the Tawas River bridge, and from Andrew Drive to the north Iosco County line.

The project is expected to start Monday, July 8. Estimated completion date is Aug. 16.

MDOT said in a release that Resurfacing will provide drivers with a smoother, safer drive and will extend the life of the roadway. This project includes new pavement markings.
