GRAYLING – The Southbound on-ramp to I-75 has drivers coming to a “stop” before entering the expressway.
Construction cones are set up on the West Side of the roadway through 4 Mile Road and is expected to end on May 3.
Other regional projects include:
- M-32 resurfacing in Montmorency County will resume May 6. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $2.7 million to repave 14.3 miles of M-32 from Meridian Line Road to east of Jerome Street in Atlanta. The project, which will include new pavement markings and rumble strips, is expected be completed July 2.
- M-113 in Kingsley. MDOT indicated it will invest will resurface more than miles of M-113 from M-37 to Clark Street in Kingsley and includes 6-foot paved shoulders.
Traffic will be directed via flag control as the roadway will be closed to one lane.
- M-31 in Petoskey. According to MDOT it will “reconstruct and realign US-31 between the Mitchell Street Bridge and Fairview Avenue, crews will begin reconstructing the highway between the bridge and Lake Street.
“This next phase will require that southbound US-31 traffic be detoured on Lake Street and Ingalls Avenue, back to US-31. Westbound traffic on Mitchell Street bound for US-31 will be routed north on Petoskey Street and Lake Street to US-31.
“Northbound US-31 traffic will remain detoured on Mitchell Street, Division Street, Arlington Avenue, and MacDonald Drive until late June.”
The project will include new pavement marking and guardrails.
