Rose City hosts first Christmas Parade

ROSE CITY – A significant snow storm and icy roads didn’t keep the crowds away from the First Annual Rose City/Lupton Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Thursday, Nov. 29.

Hundreds of people lined the streets as about 20 floats participated in the event. Floats lined up on Linton and Hayes streets, and at 6 p.m. headed North on M-33 toward downtown Rose City. The parade ended at the Rose City Park, where Santa waited for the children in the pavilion. There were four-wheelers decorated as Santa’s eight reindeer, live reindeer and much more.

Otis Cowles was named the Grand Marshal.
