Three retire from Sheriff’s Department

Sgt. Dean Marder, Lt. Eric Tiepel, Sheriff Ed Stern, and Deputy Jeff Greiser.

ROSCOMMON- Deputy Jeff Greiser (24 years), Sgt. Dean Maeder (24 years), and Lt. Eric Tiepel (26 years) were honored for their dedication and decades of service to the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Department. Approximately 60 co-workers, family, and friends attended the event at the CRAF Center, on January 13.

Sheriff Ed Stern presented each with a certificate of retirement from the department. They also were presented with a sign stating their name, Roscommon County Sheriff Department and the years served.

While they are “retiring” from the department, they are pursuing new careers and new chapters in their lives. Sheriff Stern reiterated his appreciation for their dedication, service, and friendship over the years. Stating, “we are a family.”
