New 5th grade teacher at Hale Schools

By: Larkin Spaw, student

HALE- The new fifth grade teacher at Hale Schools is Mrs. Wiese. This is her first-year teaching full time and we are very excited to see what the future holds for her. Before she came to Hale, she was teaching at Tawas Area Schools. Mrs. Wiese said the best thing about being a teacher is you never stop learning and growing and that there is always something more to learn or something new grabs your attention. For example, when Mrs. Wiese was a recreational park ranger, she would put together programs about wildlife, plants, fishing, and history that would draw crowds. That’s when she knew she wanted to continue teaching on a larger scale. If Mrs. Wiese could pass her wisdom to her students. She said “There is knowledge out there that you learn. The less you realize you know. I want to encourage students to follow their interests, be curious and never stop learning something new because there is so much to know”. Mrs. Wiese loves teaching but if she didn’t have the interest in it, she would have become an aerospace engineer working at NASA. Let’s welcome our new 5th Grade Teacher Mrs. Rachel Wiese.
