Christmas festivities at the library

GRAYLING– The Devereaux Memorial Library will be hosting a family friendly event on Thurs., Dec. 21 for The Afternoon Before Christmas program, before the kiddos go on Winter Break! Festivities will be held after school. Be sure to check social media as the date approaches or ask a circulation desk clerk for more details. 

Join Radiant Child Music and Movement on Tues., Dec. 12 at 3:30 p.m., and enjoy a relaxing yoga session which includes music, stretching, stories, movement, and meditation. This is great class for all ages.

The Board Meeting for the month of December is Thurs., Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m.

December’s Book Club selection will be the “Firekeeper’s Daughter” by Angeline Boulley. This book will be available on e-readers. Ask a circulation clerk for more details. This meeting will take place on Wed., Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. If you have any questions, call 989-348-9214.

Don’t forget, the library will be CLOSED on Dec. 25, 26, and Jan. 1. 

D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) sessions are held ever Thurs. at 4 p.m. Visit the Facebook page for more information. 

Bring your littles to Storytime! Every Wed. at 11 a.m. come enjoy stories, themed crafts, and snacks. We now have Stories with Sue out at the Frederic Branch Library, Mondays at 11 a.m.

Flower Arrangements with Nancy is fun for all ages! Nancy coaches patrons as they put together their own arrangements three days a week. The Adult group meets every Monday at 4:30 p.m., the Kids’ Group is every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and there is a Teen group that meets on Fridays after school! These programs run through the New Year.

 Check out some of the long-time running programs including Genealogy every Monday from 9 a.m. to noon, Let’s Get Fit every Tues. and Thurs. at 1 p.m., and Sit-N-Knit every Thurs. at 10 a.m.

Utilizing a conference rooms? Stop at the desk and check-in using the Sign-in Notebooks. You can also find a link to the Meeting Room Request Form on the website under “Forms and Applications” if you need a quiet place to study, take a test, or a private room to hold a meeting.
