REGION– The North Central Michigan Community Foundation awarded more than $127,000 in scholarships to 44 students across Crawford, Ogemaw, and Oscoda counties, helping support their next steps in college, trade schools, medical programs, and specialized training.
In total, students received $127,600 in scholarship assistance through funds managed by the foundation and its lead organization, the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan. The scholarships help cover expenses such as tuition, books, tools, housing, and other educational costs while also recognizing students for their hard work, leadership, service, and career goals.
“The impact of these scholarships reaches far beyond a single school year,” said Community Foundation Program Director Jennifer Dingman. “By helping students pursue careers in fields ranging from healthcare and agriculture to welding, plumbing, the arts, and countless other professions, these awards are strengthening the future of our communities.”
The scholarship program is made possible through generous donors who established endowed funds to support future generations of local students. Each scholarship reflects the interests and values of the individuals, families, and businesses who created them.
