ROSCOMMON-Celebrating the rare Kirtland’s Warbler, its unique jack pine habitat and communities within the ecosystem, the Kirtland’s Warbler Festival took place on June 5-June 6 at the CRAF Center and Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve.
To kick off the weekend, the festival hosted a social evening with keynote speakers, beer and wine tasting, appetizers and a live art auction at the Marguerite Gahagan Nature Preserve.
On Saturday, the community had a real northern Michigan experience with a variety of activities, including field trips to see jack pines, nature and educational presentations, raffles, interactive experience with reptiles, turtles and more from Nature Discovery Nature Center and a vendor market featuring local artists and young business owners.
