Duo join Hale Lions

HALE – The Hale Lions Club welcomed two new members at their February meeting: Mike and Tina Reinig.

The couple is familiar with the Lions Bear Lake Camp in Lapeer that has been an important part of their family in the past.

“Incredible stuff the Lions do for these kids,” Tina said. “They pay for their two-week sessions. This camp allows for kids with Visual, hearing impairment and kids with Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis to go to camp.

“The get to do canoeing, horseback riding, wall climbing, art activities, hiking and just to be able to hang out with kids just like them. It’s a special place indeed and their staff there is top notch.”

Mike and Tina wanted to be members of a group that does great things for people of all ages. Hale Lions gives scholarships to local high school students, sponsors the local cub scout pack, assists with glasses and hearing aids.
