MDOT plans new round-a-bouts: Hale, Mio, West Branch, Clear Lake, Houghton Lake and Grayling new sites

UP NORTH – (MDOT) Michigan Department of Topography announced earlier today that because of the positive response to the new roundabout at the US-23 / I-75 interchange south of Standish, additional round-a-bouts are planned for the 2050 construction season.

Proposed sites include:

WEST BRANCH – Remove the light on Hamburger Hill between the exits of Aldii and Wallyworld. This will enable shoppers to get to Myers faster.

HOUGHTON LAKE – MDOT decided that since they pulled the light out at the intersection of M-55 and Loxley, they’ll install a two-lane round-a-bout so customers from – Huntington, PC, Bank of America, any-bank-USA – will be able to get to Save-a-Lot quicker.

GRAYLING – Replace the light at the intersection of M-72 and McClellan. A round-a-bout would be a marked improvement from the mess drivers have to deal with every day getting gas at Grayling EZ Mart or washing their car while waiting to pick up a pizza from Little Caesars.

MIO – Add a two-lane round-a-about between Family Fair and the credit union. Consider the time this will save stopping for a Whopper on the way to pick up your canoe.

HALE and CLEAR LAKE – TBA.

That’s all the news from the driver’sseat of the Willy’s 😊

Happy April Fool’s Day.
