Luke Francis Petrosky of Grayling

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luke Francis Petrosky, 1935-2021.

Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, Luke was very active in the Grayling community. He has participated in the Rotary, Grayling Sportsman Club and the Grayling Country Club. Luke came to Grayling in 1975, with his wife Pauline and his six children, to open the Comfort Center Furniture store. Over several years he opened Comfort Centers in Gaylord, West Branch and Prudenville, MI. Luke was an avid sportsman and enjoyed any outdoor activity with his children and grandchildren, boys and girls alike. He loved the woods and water and spent many hours enjoying both. He was born and raised in Lake Leelanau, MI, one of six boys born to Frank and Elizabeth Petrosky. He moved to the Detroit area where he met and married Pauline Welemirov in February of 1963. Luke was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. “Not bad for a Three Fingered Polack”.

Visitation for Luke will take place May 6, 2021 from 4-8 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling.

Arrangements entrusted to Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
