Christmas

Traditions, family, gifts, good food, all the makings of a grand celebration, there has been no more special holiday. Many of our lives are filled with those memories that have lasted a
lifetime.

Being raised in traditional home, at tending Lutheran school for 12 years as a child, I had a deep understanding of the birth of Jesus Christ. I remember the stories surroundings the nativity; shepherds, wise men and angels declaring peace on earth, good will towards men, glad tidings and great joy.

Joseph and Mary were a very special young couple called of God to give birth, care and watch over this precious, indescribable gift from heaven above; the Messiah, the Savior, the Anointed One, sent from His Father in heaven, creator of all the world, universe and beyond.
God Almighty sent his only son to redeem; buy back, a lost and dying world, out of control, lost in its own sin and corruption.

So this young child would be born of a virgin, as God’s Holy Spirit would overshadow her.
He was born for a purpose, to restore men and women into a right relationship with The One True Holy God. God a spiritual being, through his Son, accomplished this by entering the realm of humankind as a man destined to die on a cross a criminal, fully God and fully man.

Jesus laid aside his rights as God’ son willingly, to make things right between God and all mankind. He through his work of the cross became a bridge between God and man.

We have a simple choice, which is, if we accept this indescribable gift for what it is; a gift.

Jesus Christ savior of the world, healer of the brokenhearted

John 1:12 says but as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God to those who believe in his name.

Jesus Christ though he was born of a Virgin Mary was the son of God.

Scripture says we can be too, be sons & daughters of the Most High God, in right relationship once again.

I’m not sure about you, but I personally enjoy being in a right relationship with a Holy God.

My prayer for each of you, is to consider the cost of this precious gift, why it was given, and what to do when you receive it in your hands and unwrap it.

Love & Blessings
