GRAYLING – The Grayling Chamber of Commerce has a new director – Jillian Tremonti. And she is bringing some passion to the position.
Tremonti said she’s looking forward to taking her passion for community storytelling, relationship-building, and economic vitality to help Grayling thrive.
“I’m thrilled to take on the role of the Grayling Chamber’s executive director,” Tremonti said. “The work the chamber does in strengthening the local economy through developing and fostering our community is deeply personal to me. And to be able to serve our membership and the greater area around Crawford County is a true honor.
Native to metro-Detroit, Jillian has spent the past 15 years living in Grayling She moved here after her tenure at Michigan State University, graduating with her bachelors in English and a minor in dance. She also served two years of national service as an AmeriCorps member with MSU Extension.
Tremonti has built a varied career, rooted in creativity, community development, and small business leadership.
Most recently, she spent three years with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. As part of the Michigan Main Street team, she supported downtown districts and communities across the state through marketing, events, promotions, and communications initiatives. Before working at the state level, Jill was director of the Grayling Main Street/DDA program for a number of years.
In addition to her professional work, Tremonti is deeply involved in local nonprofit and volunteer leadership.
Over the past 15 years, she has served the chamber as an ambassador, board member, and dedicated volunteer for the AuSable River Festival, where she leads the Miss AuSable River Festival program.
Tremonti is also the proud mother of two (very tall and handsome) sons, Jonas and Max.
“I’m really looking forward to increasing our impact and support for our membership, ramping up our communication efforts, and working alongside all of the wonderful people that make Grayling so special,” Tremonti added.
