Ogemaw sets road restrictions

OGEMAW COUNTY – The Ogemaw County Road Commissioners has announced seasonal load limits for county roads effective Feb. 1 at 7 a.m. and will continue till further notice.

Maximum allowable gross axle loadings are:

  • Single Axle          11,700#
  • Tandem Axles    10,400# each

On any legal combination of vehicles only one (1) tandem axle assembly shall be permitted at the gross weight of 10,400# per axle and no other tandem axle assembly in such combination of vehicles shall exceed a gross weight of 8,400# per axle.

Maximum load on any tire shall not exceed 450# per inch of tire.  Maximum speed 35 MPH for trucks over 10,000# GVW.

There are not restrictions for legal loads on those Ogemaw County roads designated as “All Season.”

Any business wishing to be notified by fax or email message with notice of suspension of frost laws may contact the Ogemaw County Road Commission to be put on the notification list.  However, the Ogemaw County Road Commission will not be responsible for an inadvertent lack of notice.  You may go to our website www.ogemawcrc.org for weight restrictions or additional road information.
