Grayling chamber announces ‘Black Tie’ awards gala

GRAYLING – The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of fully-in-person 2021 Chamber Awards at its Annual Chamber Awards Gala.

This will take place on Friday, March 4th beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Kirtland Event Center on 4 Mile Rd. in Grayling. This Black and White formal themed affair will feature a Cocktail Hour/Cash Bar, Dinner prepared by BJ’s Catering, a Silent Auction, Awards Ceremony, Live Music by Al Bondar & Diane Chamberlin of Dharma Music, Networking and Much More! Community awards will be presented for You Made It Happen, Longevity, Chamber Member Organization of the Year, Chamber Member Business of the Year, Kirk Wakefield Service Member of the Year, and the Citizen of the Year.

The nominees for You Made it Happen 2021 are Dead Bear Brewing Company, Melissa Pickard of Smoke and Mirrors Salon, Twisted Scissors, Greg Nelson, Mt Hope Lutheran Church, Christine LaFontaine, Natures Nest, LaFontaine, Matt and Christine, and Justin Andre and Michelle Moore.

The nominees for Longevity 2021 are Crawford County Avalanche and Grayling Restaurant.

The nominees for Chamber Member Organization of the Year 2021 are Crawford County Community Christian Help Center, Grayling Promotional Association, Grayling Main Street, and AuSable Artisan.

The nominees for Chamber Member Business of the Year 2021 are Huber lending Union Home mortgage, Mi Brew, Up North Apparel, Ole Dam Rd Party Store, and The Brook.

The nominees for Kirk Wakefield Service Member of the Year 2021 are Karl DeVries, Koedy Dole and Mike Grosberg.

The nominees for Citizen of the Year 2021 are Heather Forbes, Sarah Allen, Jill Tremonti, Gail Swope, Mark Hartman and Col. Scott Meyers.
