Young artists camp returns to Standish

STANDISH– Young artists ages 8 to 13 are invited to explore their creativity during the Northeast Michigan Arts Council’s Fine Arts Day Camp July 20-24 at the Northeast Art Center in Standish. The week-long camp will feature daily classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, clay, sculpture, acting, music and performing arts led by local instructors Mattea Rogers, Valeri Trombley and Chelsea O’Neal.

Classes run from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuition is $35 for Arts Council members and $40 for non-members, including supplies and refreshments. Scholarships are available for qualifying families.

Registration deadline is July 15 or until classes are full.
