Charles “Chuck” Norman Woods
Age 81, of Turner, MI, formerly of AuGres, MI passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 14, 1944 in Bay City, MI to the late Clarence and Isabel (Hughes) Woods. Chuck attended AuGres-Sims High School. He was well known throughout the community as the owner and operator of C Woods Trucking and Excavating, a business he built through the years of hard work, dedication and determination. After a long career, he retired in April 2026, leaving behind a legacy of honest work and lasting relationships with those he served. Chuck was a very hard working man and he took great pride in that. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, cracking jokes and spending time outdoors. He was a member of the NRA and appreciated the hunting community. Above all, Chuck treasured the time spent with his family. His grandchildren brought him great joy and he cherished every moment with them. He also had a special love for dogs and is survived by his furry best friend, Charlie. Chuck will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and strong work ethic. He is survived by his significant other of 32 years, Kay Richter; children, Tanya Cline of AZ, Whitney (Mark) Tetu of West Branch, MI, Todd Cline of West Branch, MI, Charles “Chip” (Amanda) Woods, Jr. of Twining, MI and Joanna (Dan) Ervin of AuGres, MI; sister, Marion Mix; grandchildren, Amber, Victoria, Kylie, Imari, Cody (Santana), Colt, Kevin, Kristi and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, James and grandson, Jake. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 2 P.M. until the time of service beginning at 5 P.M. at Buresh Funeral Home in AuGres, MI.
