Mio Airport is officially known as Oscoda County/Dennis Kauffman Memorial Airport. The public airport is located about 2 miles north of Mio and sits on 80 acres. It has served the area since July 1989. The airport has one asphalt runway, listed at 3,001 feet by 75 feet, and is used by local and visiting pilots.

The breakfast gives residents a chance to visit the airport, meet local aviation supporters and enjoy a morning event built around small-town hospitality and flying. The airport is publicly owned by Oscoda County and managed locally by Brian Smutek.
