WEST BRANCH — History will come to life during a Civil War Reenactment & Encampment set for July 10, 11, 12, 2026, at Irons Park, West Branch, MI.
The event will feature a Civil War-era encampment, field drills, marching, skirmishes, gun firing, cannon firing and programs that explore the lives of soldiers and civilians during the war.
Friday, July 10, 2026, will include encampment set up.
Saturday, July 11, 2026 events will begin on the field at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. with Drills, Marching, Skirmishes, Gun Firing, Cannon Firing.
Programs in the pavilion on Saturday will include 11 a.m. Soldier & Civilian Wear, NOON Buglers & Drummers, 1 p.m.Medical at the Battlefield, 3 p.m. Petticoats on the Battlefield, 5 p.m. Soldiers Lives, rations, etc., and 7 p.m. Stories from the Battlefields.
The event will continue Sunday, July 12, 2026, with 10 a.m. Drills, Gun Firing, Cannon Firing on the Field. At 11 a.m., the pavilion program will feature “The Chaplain Speaks.”
The event offers families, students and history lovers a chance to see Civil War history up close through demonstrations, camp life and stories from the battlefield.
