Richard ‘Dick’ S. Cronk of Roscommon

Richard ‘Dick’ S. Cronk, 73, of Roscommon passed away Jan. 20, 2017 at home.

He was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Saginaw to Vern Stewart and Arlet ‘Jo’ (Loeffler) Cronk.

He was a sharpshooter and K-9 handler in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

He resided in Roscommon since 1996 coming from Saginaw.

Mr. Cronk was employed as a supervisor at Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 1994. He owned and operated Rolling Oaks Archery in Roscommon since 1996.

He enjoyed archery, bow hunting, fishing, building and showing custom street rods and spending time and exploring Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica in the winter.

Surviving are a brother, Roland (Rena) Cronk of Bay City; niece, Jessica (Ryan) Skop of Waterford; nephews, Steven Young of NC and David Young of Ortonville; and many friends including Mike and Sheryl Richardson of Roscommon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie Mendell; and nephew, Nathan Cronk.

Funeral services were at Walsh Funeral Home, Roscommon with Charles M. Engel VFW Post 4159.

Burial will be at Great Lakes national Cemetery, Holly.

Memorial donations may be made to K-9′ for Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Rd., Ponte Vedra FL 32081.
