Robert C. Liuzzo, 77, of Houghton Lake passed away October 18, 2016 at home.
He was born on January 21, 1939 in Detroit, to Carmelo and Belva (Steele) Liuzzo. He was married on April 19, 1969 in Detroit to Shirley Ann Ciresi. The couple moved to the Houghton Lake from Lake Orion in1978.
Mr. Liuzzo served in the Army. He was an entrepreneur in service businesses, including being the founder of West Shore Parts and Service now known as Hard Core Performance of Houghton Lake, which is operated by his son and grandson..
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Shirley Ann Liuzzo of Houghton Lake; daughter, Darla Vezina of Burton; son, Robert J. Liuzzo of Houghton Lake; grandson, Robert J. Liuzzo, Jr. of Houghton Lake; and granddaughter, Dayna Vezina of Burton.
Also surviving are five sisters, Carol Liuzzo of Harrison, Linda Baeske and Norma Gick, both of Indiana, and Mitzi Tanner and Joyce Serra, both of Detroit; two brothers, Joe Liuzzo of Casco, and Denny Liuzzo of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Paul Joseph Vezina, and sister, Beverly Nowawski.
Family services will be conducted. Memorial contributions in memory of Robert are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
