TAWAS CITY — Fresh food, friendly faces and local flavor will be waiting Saturday at the Northeast Michigan Regional Farm Market in Gateway Park.

The market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at 815 W. Lake St. in Tawas City, giving residents and visitors a chance to shop for healthy foods while supporting local growers, bakers and small businesses.

Vendors offer a wide variety of farm-fresh products, including seasonal vegetables, greens, meats, berries, honey, maple syrup, prepared foods, pastries, eggs, herbs, flowers, plants and more. The market is more than a place to shop.

Families can pick up fresh ingredients for the week, enjoy the setting along US-23 near the Tawas River and Lake Huron, and support the farmers and small businesses that help keep Northeast Michigan strong.
