ROSCOMMON – The Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center (NMCAC) is celebrating a major milestone with an open house at 2 p.m. May 8.

The event will mark the completion of Phase 1 of the center’s building campaign, which transformed a former juvenile center into a trauma-informed facility designed to better serve children and families in the community.

Demolition for Phase 2 has also begun, marking the next step in expanding the center’s services and capacity. Guests will have the chance to tour the updated facility, learn more about the expanded services now available and meet with NMCAC executive director and representatives from the Roscommon County Community Foundation, which has played an important role in supporting the project.

NMCAC is located at 112 S 4th Street in Roscommon. It also has a second location at 716 German Street in Tawas City.
