Joanne Currier, 73, of Beaverton, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was born on May 22, 1951, the daughter of Harold and Doris Kehoe, in Detroit. Joanne was a dedicated employee and worked in various areas throughout her life. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Information Center in Southgate, MI. She was also employed in the employee health care center at My Michigan in Midland.
On August 3, 1972, Joanne married the love of her life, William Currier. Together, they shared 52 years filled with love and cherished memories. She adored birds and had a passion for quilting, cake decorating, and canning.
Joanne was a caretaker her entire life and was the cornerstone in helping raise her siblings after losing her mother at 13 years old. Joanne was an exceptional mother to Brian and Meghan and a loving wife to William.
Joanne is survived by her beloved husband: William Currier; children: Brian and Meghan Currier; grandson: Andrew Currier; and siblings: Gary (Renata) Kehoe of Crest Hill, IL, Patrick (Michele) Kehoe of Columbia, TN, Timothy (Shelley) Kehoe of St. Petersburg, FL, and Mary (Andrew) Martin of Westland, MI; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doris Kehoe.
