Coralee Roof, 98, of Houghton Lake passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Coralee was born on April 28, 1926 in Beaverton, Michigan to Frank and Mary (Bollert) Demaray. She grew up in the St. Johns area and graduated from St. Johns High School. On April 8, 1948 in St. Johns, Coralee was married to R V “Bob” Roof. She worked as a Dental Assistant for many years. Coralee was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of the North at Higgins Lake. She enjoyed socializing and playing cards with friends and family. Coralee had a passion for fishing and loved being on the water.
Surviving Mrs. Roof are her son, Douglas (Patricia) Roof of Perrinton; two grandchildren, Sara and Chad; four great grandchildren, Miakoda, Kaya, Jaci, and Ayana; and several nieces and nephews. Coralee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R V “Bob” Roof; her sister Frances Demaray; and two brothers Jimmy Demaray, and Jack Demaray.
Graveside Services for Coralee Roof will be conducted at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing. Memorial contributions in memory of Coralee are asked to be directed to King Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Houghton Lake. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
