Dan Reese, 49, of Roscommon

Daniel McLaine Reese, age 49, of Roscommon, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Roscommon, Michigan.

Dan was born January 19, 1975, in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of Robert Reese and Diane (Lespi) Reese.

Dan married Rebecca Kolka on September 8, 2006, in Grayling, Michigan. He graduated from Grayling High School in 1993. Dan’s passion in life was his family. He always enjoyed being a stay-at-home dad. Nothing was more important. Dan loved to cook and feed people. Every year, he would grow a large garden so he could can it for his family. Dan loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, or just taking a walk in the woods. He enjoyed playing Magic and D&D. Dan had worked many years as a carpenter and loved to build and create things. He had a favorite quote: “Peace at center, brother or sister.”

Dan will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 17 years,

Rebecca Reese; daughter, Camilla Willick of Roscommon; sons: Seth Reese of Roscommon; Alexander Reese of Houghton Lake, Michigan: brothers, Charles Reese of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Robert (Heather) Reese of Kalkaska, Michigan; parents, Robert and Diane Reese of Grayling, Michigan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, for a Memorial Service, with an hour of gathering prior to the service, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
