Love (L)INCs – Creatively Connecting

OSCODA COUNTY- Love in the Name of Christ (Love INC) is a ministry of seven local partner churches. Our partner churches also offer transportation up to 50 mi. for medical and business appointments.  They also offer food, clothes, bedding, financial coaching, medical equipment, emergency firewood, and personal care items. Any Oscoda Co. resident may call with any need. Love INC works to find the right resources and people to help.

• Mar. 1, 18, 15, & 22 – Men’s Fellowship held Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at Living Water Lutheran Church, 207 4th St., Mio.

• Mar. 3 & 17 – Community Food Pantry at TriPoint Church of God, 831 W. Miller Road, Mio, 12-2 p.m.  Please call Love INC at (989) 848-2020 to register for an appointment. Friendly volunteers assist with shopping experience. Food from local stores and donations. Call Pastor Jody Coons to donate food or send a cash donation, 989-390-9150.

• Mar. 6, 13, 20, & 27 – Drop-in Bible Studies Mondays at Living Water Lutheran at both 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Drop in for Scripture and snacks! Located behind Dollar General in Mio.

• March 10 & 24 – Clothes Closet for adults from 11am-3pm at Comins Community Church Mission House (across parking lot from the church). FREE, quality clothes and shoes for men and women. Open 2nd and 4th Fridays OR by appointment; call 989-848-2909.
• Mar. 11 – Ladies’ Café at Comins Community Church, 9 a.m.  All ladies and girls are welcome to bring a breakfast goody to share and come for a devotional and good fellowship and friendship!
• Mar. 16 – Last Soup Supper of the Winter!  Free soup, bread, and dessert, 5-6:30 p.m., New Hope Assembly of God, across from Family Dollar in Mio.
• Mar. 18 – Iron Men’s Breakfast, Comins Community Church, 7:30 a.m.  Come enjoy a hot breakfast buffet, swap tales, and look into God’s Word to learn how to live like men of God.
• Mar. 21 – Moms’ Group at His Love Family Resources, Mio, 12:15-1:30 p.m.
• Mar. 23 – Together We Can food distribution, Oscoda Co. Fairgrounds, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. or until food is gone. Oscoda Co. Residents must show proof of residency. Food is from the Food Bank of Eastern MI, Flint, with help from local sponsors. Scheduled dates always subject to change.
• Mar. 24 – Ladies Craft Day, TriPoint Church of God, Balcony Classroom, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Bring your own project, beverage, and finger food to share.
• Mar. 24 – Game Night at Comins Community Church, 7 p.m.  Bring a snack to share, friends and family.  Table games provided or bring a new game to teach others.
• March – Diapers and baby supplies!  His Love Family Resources is a benefactor of a huge grant.  If you or someone you know has infants, babies, and toddlers in diapers or pull-ups, please contact His Love Family Resources in Mio, 989-826-5817, to receive these free resources!
• March – Love INC ReCreations Shoppe in Fairview is looking towards SPRING!  We are accepting donations of good, used furniture. Visit us for beautiful hand-made and repurposed items from over 50 consignors! A portion of the sales helps to fund Love INC, a collaborative ministry of the churches of Oscoda County. Open Thurs-Sat. 10 a.m.-4:00 p.m.. 1558 N. Abbe, just north of blinker in Fairview.
