Robert James Huiskens, age 57, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at his home in Alger, MI surrounded by his family. He was born on January 11, 1965, in Bay City, MI to Rito Rodriguez and Maureen Huiskens. He lived in Alger for the past 11 years formerly of Alpena and Bay City.
Robb graduated from Garber High School in 1983. He began working in the auto body business. He eventually started his own business and owned Mid-State Recovery. Robb had a love for music and took a job as a tour bus driver for a rock band out of Texas, Texas Hippie Coalition. He enjoyed working, motorcycles, and was known as a jokester.
On December 3, 2022, he married Jamie Rankine, in Alger.
Robb is survived by his wife, Jamie Rankine-Huiskens of Alger; son Shawn Wolff of Bay City, daughter Robyn Huiskens of Bay City, son Aaron Huiskens of Bay City, daughter Ellen Morand of Auburn, daughter Kelsey (Trent) Gray of Alger, son Dyllan Vanderveer of Alpena, daughter Sasha Rankine of Alger, daughter Kihgan Huiskens of Alger, son Kihnan Huiskens of Alger, and daughter Mayzee Huiskens of Alger; sister Fern Liversedge of Bay City; 8 grandchildren, cousins, a niece, and two nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents and grandparents.
Visitation will begin at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Alger Cemetery.
