Hale Varsity Track recap

HALE- The end of the Hale track season was one to remember.  There were a lot of new personal records achieved this season such as Chloe Bernard in the 1600-meter run. In the NSL Little Dipper Championship, she ran an outstanding time of 7:05. This got her 4th place in the race.

Ellery Coleman also ran her best time in the 100-meter hurdles, which was a 21.6 and got 5th place.

Lastly, for the girl’s side, Elizabeth Wolanin got an outstanding 6’6” in pole vault.  This got her a 3rd place finish.

On the boy’s side, Sean Bernard ran a 2:12 in the 800-meter run. This time got him a 1st place finish as well.  The boys’ 4×800 meter relay team also got a new personal best. The team got 2nd place at the meet and consisted of Sean Bernard, Liam Schalk-Smith, Kyle Losinski and Paxton Downing.

Overall, the Hale boys team got 4th place at the meet and the girls got 3rd. Almost the whole team also qualified for the Alpena Honor Roll meet on May 30.

The awards banquet was held on Mon. June 12, for the boys Sean Bernard Got MVP, Brayden Vaneizenga got most improved and Kyle Losinski got the eagle award.

On the girl’s side Rowan Hood got the MVP award, Ellery Coleman got the most improved award and Kayla Wolanin got the eagle award.  For boys all conference Sean Bernard got 1st team all-conference in the 800-meter run, the boys 4×800 meter relay team also got 2nd team all-conference
