Zombies run through the hills

By Theresa Ekdom

GRAYLING – River House recently held a 5K Zombie run/walk fundraiser at Hanson Hills Recreation Area. Participants were encouraged to dress as zombies.

‘This is the 5th Annual 5K Run for River House, but the first time for a zombie run,’ Executive Director Aimee Sandula said.

20 racers participated this year, along with other volunteers hiding in the woods providing ‘encouragement’ to the runners by jumping out and scaring them. Alayna Ostling of Roscommon was the first runner to cross the finish line.
