ROGERS CITY– The public is invited to a March 3 open house to share ideas for the future of Herman Vogler Conservation Area, including recreation improvements, Trout River access, wildlife viewing and trail enhancements. The event runs from 4–6 p.m. at Rogers City Area Senior & Community Center, 131 Superior St., Rogers City, and is family friendly with refreshments provided.
Representatives from Huron Pines, Presque Isle Conservation District and Barr Engineering Michigan LLC will share project updates and 60-percent-complete designs for the Trout River restoration, along with visual renderings and timelines. Attendees can ask questions, view plans and provide feedback through discussion and a public survey.
Herman Vogler Conservation Area features 270 acres of forest, seven miles of trails and public access to the Trout River. Community input will help shape the final design to ensure the space remains meaningful and valuable for Presque Isle County residents.
