REGION – Area hunters celebrated opening day of the firearm deer season on Nov. 15. The weather was exceptionally cold and a fresh coating of snow had the deer moving for food and to stay warm.

Fourteen-year-old Dane from Grand Rapids wanted to try his hand at bow hunting while visiting his Uncle Mike Frasier, of Lewiston. Dane got his first deer! Congratulations Dane!
