Lance Whitefield, age 86, of Prescott, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
He was born on July 22, 1939, in Council Bluff, IA. After high school, he served his country in the United States Navy before retiring as a retail manager.
Lance was known for always working in his yard, gardening, and his infectious sense of humor, as well as his passion for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Lance is survived by his wife, Kim Whitefield; children Trisha Karpuk and Drew (Alyson) Whitefield; grandchildren Zanth Karpuk, Nevaeh Whitefield, Mason Whitefield, Marshall Whitefield, Addyson Whitefield; his sisters in law Luann Schmiegel, Carol (Kim) Geitman, and Mary Karpuk; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lance Whitefield, mother Helena Whitefield, sister Jeanie, father-in-law Donald Karpuk, mother-in-law Martha Karpuk, and brothers in law Donald Karpuk, Carl (Andy) Karpuk, and Clare Karpuk.
