Darwin Jack “DJ” Robinson, age 67, of Standish, MI passed away Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 after a hard-fought battle with kidney failure.
DJ was born on October 3rd, 1958, in Cadillac, MI to parents Darwin and Elaine (Davison) Robinson. He later moved with his family to Standish, MI where he attended Standish-Sterling Central High School.
DJ worked many years in distribution sales, as well as lawn care for Big John’s Lawncare. Most recently, he was a proud member of the grounds crew at Pine River Golf Club. He had a love for all things sports – he especially had a special place for Coach Raymond and the SSC Varsity Baseball team. Above all, his granddaughters were the light of his life. He loved to bake with them, host sleepovers and spoil them whenever he could – they were in charge!
In his earlier years, DJ enjoyed spending time with friends and family at golf outings, bowling leagues, and card nights. He cherished the camaraderie, laughter, and friendships built during those times, creating memories that lasted a lifetime.
He is survived by three daughters, Lacey (Kirk) Adams, Brooke (Lucas) Foco, and Heather (Austin Koin) Robinson, four grand-daughters Payton, Parker, and Palmer Adams and Elliotte Foco. He is also survived by his brother Danny Robinson; his sisters Kimberly (Mark) Hadd and Carol (Greg) Rood; his partner Deb Belchak and their dog, Max; as well as 8 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.
DJ is preceded in death by his parents Darwin and Elaine Robinson.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, 2026, at Lee Ramsay Funeral home in Standish from 1-8pm. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 21st at 11:00am at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, with lunch to follow. The family will have a private burial at the Sylvan Township Cemetery in Evart, MI following the luncheon.
