Robert E. Weisend, a resident of East Tawas, formerly of Marietta, Ohio, passed away at MyMichigan Medical Center in Saginaw on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, age 87. After high school graduation, Robert was employed for 20 years by Carter’s in Tawas City as a Grocery Store Manager, retiring in 2003. In his free time, Robert enjoyed spending time doing wood working and racing cars! Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Kay A. Weisend (Zenser), to whom he married on July 21, 1956. Robert is also survived by his children, Tony Weisend, Tim (Darcie) Weisend, and Kenny (Tricia) Weisend; grandchildren, Logan, MacKenzie, Lexi, and Kyler Weisend; 2 brothers, Jim and Patrick Weisend; and 1 sister, Sandy Drickhammer. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Gene Weisend. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no formal services planned at this time.
