Norman Mead, 95, of Beaverton

Norman E. Mead, age 95, of Beaverton, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1930, the son of Philip and Bertha (Burdette) Mead, in Trenton, MI. Norman was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was hardworker and always liked to keep busy. He was a true outdoorsman, spending his free time hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He liked to travel and enjoyed honoring those who had served their country by playing taps at Veteran Honor Guard Services.

He is survived by his daughter: Norma J. Smith; grandchildren: Kenneth (Ida) Smith, Cristina Allmendinger, Norman Hardy, Sherrie Lynn, and Michelle Renee; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Helen McKeigan, Anna (Bud) Thomas, Virginia Thomas, and Edie Shaeffer; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Philip and Bertha; daughter: Dorothy Krompetz; grandson: Darrell E. Mead Sr.; sister: Betty (Mead) Demott; and brothers: Phillip. Godfrey, Robert, Joseph, and Paul Mead.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and services are being planned for a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
