It is with deep and heartfelt love that the Mrdutt family announces the passing of our dear patriarch, James “Jim” Mrdutt.

James Saver Mrdutt Sr., was born on September 20, 1948 in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to parents, Saver and Sabina (Twarogowski) Mrdutt and was called home on June 8, 2025.

Jim was the middle child of the family and is survived by his eldest sister, Carol Kelly, and her husband Steve. Their youngest sibling was Steve Mrdutt who resided in California and preceded Jim in death. The family moved to Michigan and settled in the Genesee County area.

Jim was a US Army Veteran and honorably served his country in Korea in the 38th Infantry 2nd Infantry Division as a combat medic in 1968. After his service, Jim worked at Chevy Metal fab for 38 years and retired in 2004. Following his retirement, Jim and Carol began their up north adventure in Prudenville, Michigan, where they greatly enjoyed golfing, boating, going to the casino, and spending time with their family and friends. Jim also looked forward to his weekly pool league and participating in classic car shows, where he loved showing off his 1967 Chevy Nova. He was a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge in Winter Haven, Florida, and the Houghton Lake Eagles.
