Ms. Helen Franklin, 69 of Atlanta, Michigan died at MyMichigan Medical Center of Alpena on May 17, 2025. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on June 8, 1955 to the late Leonard and Lena (Holder) Franklin. Helen has resided in Atlanta since 2009 with her longtime companion of 33 years, James. Helen enjoyed coloring and cooking, and she loved her dog, Doc. She is and will be deeply missed.
She is remembered by her granddaughter, Krystal (Dustan) Lusk; and the love of her life, James Lewis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena; daughter, Laura; and thirteen siblings.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Helen privately at this time.
