Paul Carlsen, 84, of Roscommon

Paul Eiler Carlsen, age 84, of Roscommon, died on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family. Paul was born July 7,1940, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Eiler and Valborg (Hansen) Carlsen. Paul married Ann Rosenau on December 18,1961, in Detroit, Michigan.

Paul worked as a Journeyman Toolmaker for the aeronautical and space industry for 40 years. He was also a dedicated lifelong member of the Danish Brotherhood in America, where he served as the Lodge Treasurer for 58 years. He also served a year as the Lodge President and was a member of the National Board of Directors for 12 years. He was on the Advisory Board for the Woodmen of the World for 20 years and served on the Board as the Treasurer for the Danish Old People’s Home.

Paul will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann, of 63 years; his four children: Ken Carlsen, Jeff (Julia) Carlsen, David (Robin) Carlsen, Lisa (Greg) Corfixsen; and his six grandchildren: Kenny (Dana) Carlsen, Megan Carlsen, Elaine Carlsen, Erin Carlsen, Kyle Corfixsen, and Ryan Corfixsen; also surviving is his brother, Dennis (Marilyn) Carlsen; and sister-in-law, Penny; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Eiler and Valborg; and brother, Gilbert.

Paul’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time and will have a Celebration of Life ceremony this summer.
