Vincent Michael Tomassi, age 61, a beloved member of the West Branch community, passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Branch, MI on Monday, December 3, 2024. He was born on June 12, 1963, in Dearborn, MI, to Larry and Barbara (Long) Tomassi. Vincent lived in West Branch since 1979.
He devoted 30 years of his life to serving as correction officer for Ogemaw County. Known for his caring nature and warm demeanor, Vincent left an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Vincent’s personality was characterized by his kindness and compassion, making him a cherished friend and neighbor. Throughout his life, he was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word, earning the respect and admiration of those in his community.
In addition to his hard work and dedication, Vincent had a passion for outdoor adventures, particularly enjoying time riding his four-wheeler and camping.
Vincent is survived by his mother, Barbara Tomassi; his sister, Debbie (Patrick) Tomassi – Turcutte; nephew Hunter Turcotte; and step-nieces Tiffany Neikart and Holly Turcotte-Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Tomassi.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring 2025.
