Karen Benjamin, 84, of West Branch

Karen Louise Benjamin, age 84 of West Branch, MI., passed away at home on September 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 13, 1940 in Lupton, MI., to Dwight and Evelyn (Craddock) Reetz.

Karen attended the Rose City Schools and then married Ronald Lee Benjamin. They had 3 children together. Karen was a full-time mother and also waitressed for many years . She also worked in retail sales. She officially retired in 2002. Over her lifetime, she loved arts and crafts, growing flowers and gardening, hunting, her cats and dogs, and taking care of and displaying her mother’s handmade porcelain dolls.

Karen is survived by her children, Rhonda (Jerry Reiter) O’Connor, Michelle (Lou) Dallas, and Kevin (Kris) Benjamin; sisters, Joanne Lockwood and Vivian (Kenneth) Dowey; grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Jared (Kristen), Ashley (Brian), Branden, Josh (Trisha), Judy (Mike), Jonathan (Michelle); great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Chase, Sloane, Maximus, Derek, Addison, Mason, Liam, Ethan, Payton, Haley, Charlotte, Brooks, Sophia, and many nieces and nephews.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald (2003), brother, Gary, and son-in-law, Rodney Hull.
