Ralph Konyha, 85, of Atlanta

Mr. Ralph Edward Konyha, 85 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully at Hillman’s Haven on April 4, 2024. He was born the 14th child of 15 in Riley Township, Michigan on December 3, 1938 to the late, John and Irma (Tosh) Konyha. He graduated in 1957 from Memphis High School in Memphis, Michigan and proudly went on to serve his country in the United States Marines Corps from 1957-1960, as a Lance Corporal. He met and married Patricia (Greene) Konyha. Together, they celebrated 25 years of marriage, and raised three beautiful children. Ralph resided in Atlanta since 2000 and was a member of the Atlanta Eagles. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting. At deer camp he was known as the cook. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his children, his Dodge truck, and his passion for snowmobiling. Ralph is and will be deeply missed.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Beth Ann (Steve) Finch of Washington State; grandchildren, Jesse, Paula, Matthew, Nicholas, Shay; great-grandchildren, Gwen and Bennett; son-in-law, AJ Davis of Imlay City; sisters, Charlotte Gay of Trenton; Katie Lange of Cleveland, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Dan (Rose) Jakubiak of Wales. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma Konyha; wife, Patricia; daughter, Kelly Davis; son, Kirt Konyha; granddaughter, Sarah; and several siblings.Funeral services for Mr. Konyha will take place at noon on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta, Michigan. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow services at Briley Township Cemetery, Atlanta with military funeral honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers, www.t2t.org.
