Chuck Breier, 75, of Oscoda

Charles “Chuck” Eugene Breier, 75, of Oscoda, Michigan, passed away March 30th at home with his family by his side . Chuck grew up in Flint, Michigan, and was a graduate of Hamady High school. After high school, Church enlisted into the United States Army, where he proudly served our country for two years. When Chuck returned to Michigan after the Army, he began his work in the automotive industry. He spent 32 years working for General Motors in Flint, ultimately retiring in 2000. After retirement, Chuck spent much of his free time always working on something, tinkering in his garage, hunting, fishing, at deer-camp, or on his pontoon with a cold Bud Light in his hand (oh yeah). He also belonged to several organizations within the community such as the American Legion, The Eagles, and the VFW. Chuck was so proud of his three daughters and his grandchildren, he would brag about them as much as possible to anyone that would listen. Chuck and his wife, Debbie, had a beautiful life. They were married in Lennon, Michigan, in December of 1971, and shared a passionate love between each other for over 53 years.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Debbie Breier; three daughters, Amy (Billy) Paul, Melissa Riopelle, & Nicky (James) Smith; grandchildren, Emily Paul, Quintin Smith, David Riopelle Jr., and Braylen Smith, his pet Raven; and several nieces and nephews. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Maxine Breier; sister, Connie Breier; and brother, Frank Breier.

Per Chuck’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. You may offer online condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
