Chet M. Loar, age 52, passed away on April 8, 2024, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 4, 1971, in Clare, MI.
Chet found his life partner and married Mandy Hillman in September of 2005. Together they had two beautiful children and shared many years filled with love and cherished memories. Chet had a passion for hunting. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports and loved everything about the great outdoors. He could often be found in the gym or on the baseball fields, cheering on his kids, or in the woods chasing down turkeys.
He is survived by the love of his life: Mandy Loar; children: Caiden and Reagan Loar; parents: Michael Loar (Lori Sherlock) and Debbie Shaffer; sister: Stephanie (Josh) Armstrong; nieces: Jenna, Isabella, Keira; nephews: Brady and Brendan.
Chet is preceded in death by his stepfather: Dan Shaffer; sister: Jenny Loar: and grandparents: Leon and Shirley Mavis and Leo and Bernadine Loar.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at the Beaverton Activity Center. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
