Judith A. Utpadel
Age 73, of Whittemore, MI passed away at home with her family by her side on Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born in Romulus, MI on July 26, 1950 to the late Tony and Beatrice Petrie (Kline). Judy graduated from Romulus High School and later earned her associates degree from Alpena Community College after moving north in her 20’s. She enjoyed tending to her food and flower gardens, doing puzzles, watching soap operas, collecting Barbie dolls and she loved butterflies. Most especially, Judy loved being a grandma, great grandma and spending time with her family. She is survived by her three children, son Russell Pasnik of Saginaw, MI, son Luke (Margaret) Pasnik of Whittemore, MI, daughter Lori (Eric) Adams of Crockett, TX; 9 grandchildren, Courtney Pasnik, Paige Pasnik, Abby Pasnik, Emily Pasnik, Hunter Pasnik, Ethan Adams, Jerry Adams, Glenn Adams, Nindy Adams; 6 great grandchildren, Quentin Braun, Aida Mick, Mercy Mick, Waylen Hottois, Norah Sharp, and Xavier Pasnik. Two sisters-in-law also survive Judy, Sue Petrie of Curtis, MI, Kay Claxton of Belleville, MI and her lifelong dear friend Barb Nye of Alpena, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Leo Pasnik and Gene Utpadel; son Leo Pasnik; and three brothers, Bob, Wayne and Eugene Petrie. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at the Buresh Funeral Home in Twining, MI. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
