Gwendolyn Pagnier, 90, of Rose City

Gwendolyn I. Pagnier, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, in Rose City, MI. A beacon of warmth and gentleness, Gwendolyn was born in Prescott, MI on May 23, 1933. Her life was a testament to love, devotion to family, and faith.

Raised on a family farm in Prescott, her early life instilled in her a strong work ethic and love for the simple pleasures of life. In the 1950s, Gwendolyn met the love of her life, Edward Pagnier, and the two were united in matrimony on August 20, 1955. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their sons, David (Sherry) Pagnier and Brent Pagnier, in the community of Melita, MI, where they would ultimately return after residing in the Flint area for many years.

Gwendolyn’s professional life included dedicated service at AC Spark Plug in Flint, where she not only contributed her skills but also formed lifelong friendships. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and she joyously played piano and organ for her church over many years, uplifting congregations with her musical talents. Her love for church, piano, country music, and quartet singing led her to attend many quarterly conventions and concerts, sharing her passion with those around her.

Gwendolyn’s legacy is carried on by her cherished sons and their families, including her treasured grandchildren, Adam and Blake. She is survived by her sisters, Effie (Herb) Hall, Lorena Arnt, and Phyllis Warner, along with many beloved nieces and nephews who will miss her gentle spirit.

Preceding her in death were her adored husband, Edward Pagnier, her parents, Arlie Warner and Ethel (Ryan) Warner, and her sisters, Anna Mae Berry, Sadie Remilong, and Delores Warner.

Gwendolyn will be forever remembered for her loving, faith-filled, and gentle nature. Her life was a beautiful reflection of the values she held dear, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Villa of Rose City and Compassus Hospice for the compassionate care they’ve given to Gwendolyn.

A funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home – Standish Chapel, with Pastor Burton Kincaid and Mary Aliene Good presiding, followed by internment at Clayton Township Cemetery, Sterling, MI. The family will greet guests on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 11:00 am until the time of service.
