Butch Miller, 70, of Hale

Wayne Arthur “Butch” Miller, age 70 of Hale, MI., passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Butch was born on January 17, 1954 in West Branch, MI., to the late Joe and Pat (Dority) Miller. Butch was a 48-year resident of Hale and former resident of Prescott, MI. Butch graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School in 1972 and went on to get a business degree from Northwood University. He went on to become a financial planner working for Encore Financial Group for 42-years retiring in 2018.

Butch enjoyed hunting, sporting events, auto races, collecting antiques, watching his sons ice race, and was also a great photographer. He even found time to coach soccer. Butch was a wonderful father, grandpa, brother, and uncle, and will be missed dearly.

Butch is survived by his 3 sons, Chad (Shelby) Miller of West Branch, MI., Todd Miller of Hale, MI., and Ryan Miller of Hale, MI.; brother, Brad Miller of Prescott, MI.; sisters, Chris (Chuck) Neubecker of West Branch, MI., and Julie (Joe) Weber of Hale, MI.; grandchildren, Addison, Luke, and Easton, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents.

The Miller family will have services for Butch at the Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI., Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. Funeral service on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 12:00pm with Interment at Logan Township Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the Logan Township Hall.
