Mrs. Shirley Ann Coulston, 81 of Lewiston, Michigan passed away at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital in Grayling on February 10, 2024. She was born on September 7, 1941. Shirley was the oldest of three children and grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. She held many accounting positions and had a side seamstress business called “Sew Good”. She lived in Chicago with her four boys until her father, Lynn Hostetter became ill, and she moved to Lewiston to be with him. While in Chicago, she worked at Touch and Go Records and helped to build the business. She was very proud of this achievement. Shirley loved classical music and was a well-known singer in Detroit traveling with the choir to Europe. She also taught music lessons. She loved Jeeps, code word puzzles, flowers, and gardening. She was self-sufficient, extraordinary, and very loved. Shirley is and will be deeply missed.

 She is survived by her husband, Jim Coulston; sons, Kevin, Phil, and Steve Smith; grandchildren, Phoenix, Camden, Nate, Aria, and Cadence; and sister, Patty. She was preceded in death by her parents. 

 In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Shirley privately at this time. A memorial will be held in celebration of her life in the Summer.
