Cathy Ann Freitag, age 66, of Tawas City, Michigan, passed away on January 30, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan. Cathy was born the daughter of the late Samuel Enos and Ann Kennedy on March 28, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan. Her childhood was spent in Saginaw, and she was a proud graduate of Arthur Hills High School Class of 1975. Following high school she married Kenneth Freitag I in October of 1980. The two resided in South Branch for a few years before moving to Tawas, Michigan. Cathy was a very hard-working woman that had many jobs over her lifetime. She worked in a bakery, cleaned the Tawas Bay Marina, worked at Carter’s, and spent several years with the Tawas Plating Company as a production worker until her retirement in 2019. Some of Cathy’s hobbies consisted of reading, tubing down the river, rock hunting, word puzzles, and spending time with her family and cat. She was a very giving and caring person, and she will be missed dearly by many.
Cathy is survived by her children, Kenneth (Sarah) Freitag II and Jessica Freitag; brother, David Enos; sisters, Becky Enciso and Patti Tetrault; grandchildren, Wyatt Freitag, Kenneth Freitag III, Joselynn Freitag, and Garrett Freitag; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Samuel and Ann, Cathy is preceded in death by her brothers, Bernie Enos, Moe Enos, and Tim Enos.
Per Cathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
