Mrs. Carol Ann Mack, 87 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on February 4, 2024, at Pioneer Golden Estates Assisted Living in Clare. She was born on November 13, 1936, in Janseville, Wisconsin to the late Hollister and Florence (Connell) Rice. She married Lawrence Mack on April 23, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio and together the couple celebrated 57 years of marriage before Larry’s passing in 2017. In early 2019, Carol moved to Farwell to be closer to her family after being a longtime resident of Lewiston for 30+ years. She had a talent for music and enjoyed playing both the organ and piano. Carol was currently a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Clare. While living in Lewiston, Carol was very involved with her community. She was talented in both quilting and knitting. She enjoyed being outdoors and didn’t shy away from cross country skiing, camping, hiking, or traveling with Larry. She had a knack for gardening, and it was seen in all the beautiful annuals and perennials that grew alongside her house and property. She could also be found indoors with a good book in her hand. She is and will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Bill (Becca) Mack of Aurora, Colorado; David (Kathy) Mack of Commerce Township, Donna (Mike) Venglar of Farwell; grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Tim, and Derek; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Caroline, Gianna, Blaise, Carter, and Xavier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollister and Florence Rice, and husband, Lawrence Mack.
